This teapot is at the heart of a large set that also included four cups and saucers, a sugar pot, milk jug and a biscuit tray. The recipient was a Knight Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to philanthropy, among many other great achievements, all of which were included in the details across all pieces.
