After coming up with the hint of an idea for a tree-themed platter, a request to help make a platter celebrating several generations of family, and a life-long love of jacarandas, was a golden opportunity I couldn’t resist.
Each section of the platter contains a different part of the family. The surnames are in the trunk of the tree, with the recipients’ first
names spreading into the branches (both with gold accents). Their children and grandchildren are in the flowers, their parents are in the blue sky with a silver lining, and their siblings surround and support them in the grasses.
There are 21 names and two surnames to be found, as well as 24 words and sentiments hidden in the pattern.
