TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Conditions

1.0 Payment

A minimum of 50% of TOTAL BASE+WORKS deposit (excl delivery) must be paid before the work will commence.

The remaining balance must be paid IN FULL before product will be delivered.

 

2.0 Postage and Handling

2.1 Each order will have its own shipping cost, depending on dimension / size / destination of the parcel. This will be determined before the order is finalised to ensure transparency

2.2 Due to increased security in the United States, any items over 500g (1.75lb) posted to the USA will be subjected to an additional 48hr delay, and a $9 surcharge for postage, which will be included in the total postage costs. 3.0 Refunds

3.1 Commissioned pieces are non-refundable due to their nature. To avoid any discrepancies about the final appearance, I will be in touch with you throughout the process and will update photos regularly to ensure everything is to your liking.

3.2 Non-commissioned pieces and prints may be refunded if they are not as expected. Pieces MUST be returned to Chimoco Design in perfect original condition. Refund will be for the cost of the item only and will not include the cost of delivery or return.

3.3 Early refunds relate to a deposit made BEFORE work commences. Any costs incurred by Chimoco Design will be limited to 50% refund, to cover administrative and time costs in sourcing the product(s). Supplied goods and prints will receive a full refund, however postage or return of goods is the responsibility of The Client, and will not be refunded.

3.4 Refunds will not be issued for the parcel/s not arriving. All tracking information will be shared with The Client, and both parties are to pursue the carrier service.

3.4.1 The Client is responsible for any insurance for parcel delivery. While all efforts will be made by Chimoco Design to appropriately wrap the product, refunds will not be issued for breakages in transit.

Chimoco Design strongly suggests breakable parcels are checked at the time of collection to ensure ease of insurance claim, should one be needed.

Chimoco Design strongly suggests breakable parcels are hand-delivered only to reduce risk of damage or breakage.

 

4.0 Alterations

Proofs of the work will be sent via clients preferred contact method (email, SMS, Facebook, etc) before, during, and after work.

4.1 Changes to the ‘Major’ work may be made after commission of project; however, Chimoco Design MUST be notified before work commences.

Changes to ‘Minor’ work must be given within 48 hours of commencement of work. Any requests made after this time are subject to Chimoco Designs discretion.

4.2 Any late alteration may impact the completion date, for which Chimoco Design takes no responsibility.

4.3 The Client must notify Chimoco Design of any errors before the completion of work. Updates will be sent throughout the process, and any errors must be addressed within 48 hours of contact from Chimoco Design. Refunds will not be issued if notice of error is not given in this time-frame.

4.4 No alteration can be made after the product has been heat-treated.

 

5.0 Time
Please allow two (2) weeks (10 business days)- plus any shipping time. Express postage is available, at an extra cost.

 

Terminology

Base-piece: The item on which the work is being done; for example – platter, plate, bowl, cup/saucer, vase, etc.

The Client: The person/s who have commissioned the project. The person/s responsible for the exchange of ideas, information, and payment.

Commission/ed: Agreement by both parties to the terms and conditions of the works to be undertaken. The piece of work that has been requested/agreed upon

Commencement of work: When any work begins to be (and subsequently continues to be) applied to the base-piece.

Completion of work: When the agreed area of work, inclusive of requested details, is completely filled.

Discounts (if applicable): Discounts are applied to the cost of work ONLY, and excludes the cost of base-piece and delivery.

Error: A request stipulated by The Client before commencement of work (major) or within 48 hours (minor) that has been incorrectly applied by Chimoco Design.

House original (see also- Non-commissioned): A piece of glass, ceramic, paper or other art that has been determined by Chimoco Design, without Client input

‘Major’ work: The main body of the work (by total area of coverage); non-specified fill.

‘Minor’ work: The requested details, symbols, dates, numbers, shapes, etc. (lesser by total area of coverage)

Non-Commissioned (See also- House original): A piece of glass, ceramic, paper or other art that has been determined by Chimoco Design, without Client input

Parcel: The wrapped product, in preparation for delivery.

Product: The completed base-piece and work.

Proofs: The initial design will be a visualisation of work. Once work commences, photographic updates will be sent throughout the duration of the project.
